Welcome to your quarterly report of what I’m sensing to be in style. Listed below are things that are on my radar.
Violet, The Color of the Season
Over the past few years, various hues from lilac to aubergine have had their moment. This time I am seeing it everywhere in a vibrant almost electric violet. As a purple girl myself, this makes me extremely happy. A few ways to incorporate this bright shade are to add as an accessory such as a layered knit scarf, socks with loafers, or as a colorblocking moment with another bold color such as red or black.
Culottes
Capris were gaining popularity throughout this past summer. This is how you can transition the look into Fall. Pair a black pair with a tall black boot, ideally with a lug sole. It’s the perfect transition into the colder months. Uber cool.
Silk Tassels
The bigger the better. I love the bold statement a chunky silk tassel makes, especially on a shorter length necklace.
Layered T-Shirts
Something that I all used to wear in elementary school is now trending. The concept of layering is not new by any means as a method for Fall dressing. This year, I’m loving styling a simple cotton long sleeved T-shirt with short boxy sleeve on top. You can play around with pattern such as contrasting stripes or even a graphic tee.
Military Jacket
The blazer has been replaced with a bolder cropped version. How I’d style it? It pair it with a simple graphic tee underneath and an ultra-feminine lace mini skirt.
Cummerbund Styled as Belt
Chic way to incorporate menswear. I’ve seen a few creators style this recently and I want to try it out.
Paracord with Statement Pendants
I love the idea of using this traditionally utilitarian material into something more refined. Featured soon in some of our upcoming pieces…
